Good morning all. I have a 2018 dct. the other day i was riding behind a slow vehicle got cross passed it and gunned the motor. The bike did not change gears and soon refs were dangerously high in the valve bounce range. Got a fright and changed manually. This is the first time this happened. Haven't had a repeat. Has anyone else experienced this. The Africa Twin DCT, Goldwing DCT, and Rebel 1100 DCT are outselling their manual counterparts. Won’t be surprised if Honda’s next model is rebel 300/500 DCT. I tried the 1100 and had a few complaints as far as it being in a stupid high gear going 20-30mph and the shifting mid turn from a stop, but that’s the beauty of the paddle shifters 9/13/2022. Problem known by owning NC 700 DCT for 6 years before AT. Well, Honda knows this as well.
2019 Brand New Africa Twin DCT Problems. I purchased a new 2019 DCT Honda Africa Twin from the dealership. The bike had 9 miles on it when I picked it up. At pickup it was raining extremely hard so I asked the dealer to load the bike on my pickup. I did not want to test ride the bike because of the rain and did not want to wreck my new bike.
