I run 29-30 F/R on the argument that such a light bike needs lower pressures so that the tires will come up to temperature. It's worked well for me. The only one I have ever seen is for the 2013 Duke from Motorcycle Consumer News, May issue. The bike dyno'ed at 62 horspower, and they posted the following: 0 to 60 mph: 3.73 seconds 0 to 100 mph: 11.06 seconds 12.05 seconds at 106.47 mph in the 1/4 mile top speed = 119.5 mph.

Compared to the £9099 KTM 690R, you lose 30mm in seat height, but also 2bhp and, more disappointingly, cornering ABS. Oh, and you gain 1kg. But really, besides the sharper styling of the R-model, I much prefer this lower-priced standard version. A reasonable amount of space under the pillion seat is welcome.
