The hike down from Murren to Lauterbrunnen is absolutely breathtaking and I would highly recommend it. You could then walk the valley floor of Lauterbrunnen and visit the falls located there too. From Lauterbrunnen take the little train to the Kleine Scheidegg area that looks out over Grindelwald and there is a hike down to the village (which Just one correction to Ken's post. The total time from Lauterbrunnen to Mürren is 20 minutes; the cable from Lauterbrunnen to Grütschalp takes about 5 minutes, and the train from there to Mürren takes about 15 minutes. This is one of those things that seems hard until you get there - once you're there, it's easy and obvious.
From Lauterbrunnen, you can take the cableway to Grütschalp. Then change to the narrow gauge train to Mürren BLM, the train station in the north of the village. Take the bus from Lauterbrunnen to Stechelberg. Then take the cableway up to Mürren, with a change in Gimmelwald. The cable car station is in the south of the village.
